Colourfast Targets More Growth with Duplo Drupa Deal
Fast-expanding Colourfast has signed a deal with Duplo on its booth (Stand 61, Hall 6) at drupa for new print finishing equipment that will open up new business opportunities in the servicing of London financial clients.
Colourfast signed the order at the show for a Duplo 350 Digital Booklet System, as well as other accessories.
Managing Director Darren Bacon says the investments is vital for continuing growth at a company started nine years ago that employs 20 people and has a £2.2m turnover. It will work alongside Colourfast’s 14 Konica Minolta digital print systems.
“I’m glad we’ve signed at drupa,” said Darren. “A lot of printers forget about the finishing, but it’s the most important process. In the financial markets, as in any other, it’s always a case of rush, rush rush. So we needed to find a system for larger stitched pagination. Our previous system only went up to 48 pages.
“We did look at the competition but, in truth, we were always going to buy from Duplo, which has the most reliable print finishing equipment and great back-up service, as well as extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff.”
Robin Greenhalgh, Duplo International Chairman, said: “Colourfast understands the importance of print finishing in a smarter, faster and better way. We’re delighted to have signed this deal for systems providing precision automation on our stand at drupa so early in the show.”
