Duplo International, the market leader with the widest range of finishing systems in the print industry, has launched the DB-290 Perfect Binder.
A unique selling point for Duplo’s DB-290 Perfect Binder is new side gluing done by wheels with their own dedicated glue tank. This allows operators to use fast-drying adhesive to firmly support the shape of the book. The glue in the main tank can then be longer-drying glue, giving more time for the adhesive to thoroughly penetrate the spine.The combination created improved glue application and adhesion, resulting in a better bind and squarer books.
Delivering compact professional perfect binding for long and short runs, the new addition joins Duplo’s comprehensive, highly automated and precision engineered portfolio of bookletmakers, saddle stitchers, collators, multifinishers, binders, folders and duplicators.
Ideally suited to the production of soft cover books, tape bound books and note pads, the single operator machine can produce up to 200 books per hour.
This combination creates improved glue application and adhesion, resulting in a better bind for squarer books and enabling smarter production flexibility.
The DB-290 offers a maximum book thickness of 40mm at a production speed up to 200bph while a user-friendly ergonomic control panel supports quick, easy and accurate set up.
