Inspiration and Innovation: Duplo sets out to Inspire at PrintWeekLive! Exhibition

Inspiration and innovation will be at the heart of headline sponsor Duplo UK’s activity at the inaugural PrintWeekLive! Exhibition, taking place at the Wasps Arena, Coventry, on 8-9 March 2017.

As well as showcasing some of Duplo’s latest high-tech print finishing systems on its stand, Duplo is running two seminars at the event, while UK marketing manager Sarah Crumpler will be taking part in a key panel discussion in the PrintWeekLive! conference.

“Our focus for the show will be to reflect the key themes of PrintWeekLive! – Inspire, Innovate and Initiate” said Sarah. “Visitors to the Duplo stand will find inspirational and innovative application ideas that can be initiated using our technology. We will also advance those themes through the workshop sessions we will be running, in which some of our customers will be participating.”

Duplo’s belief statement of “We believe in the power of printed communication; print is beautiful, timeless and engaging” will be emblazoned across its exhibition stand at the show, while the latest-generation cutting and booklet making equipment will be on display. The systems that will be present at PrintWeekLive! are:

PFi DI-CUT 300 Die Cutter – an economical and versatile rotary magnetic cylinder die cutter that is ideal for digital printers in need of a short run die cutting solution.
DC-746 Slitter, Cutter, Creaser – Duplo’s most powerful multi-functional finishing system for high volume digital colour print environments.
DC-616PRO Cutter, Creaser – multi-function finishing in a compact, easy to use system for the short run on-demand digital printer.
350 Digital Booklet System – a cost-effective mid-range booklet making system, ideal for a wide range of digitally-printed applications.

As well as the technology on display, Duplo is also taking part in a three-way workflow integration across the stands of Antalis and Xerox.

In the Workshop Theatre, Duplo will hold two panel discussions intended to give printers inspiration and advice that will help shape better business performance. Both sessions will give visitors the opportunity to hear how UK printers are addressing key challenges in the market. The workshops are:

Profit through Innovation (Workshop C, 8th March, 2.15pm) – how innovative printers are avoiding price battles, driving demand for higher value products, adding value and thinking outside the box to profit through innovation.
Commoditisation vs Productisation (Workshop C, 9th March, 12.15pm) – why some printers are choosing productisation as a market approach, how this affects conversations with customers and what challenges and advantages there are in this approach.

Finally, Duplo UK Marketing Manager Sarah Crumpler will take part in a main conference session that will clearly position the company as an industry leader. Titled “The print room of tomorrow with Heidelberg, Xerox and Duplo”, the panel session takes place on 9th March at 11.15am.

“We’re looking forward to connecting with lots of our customers at PrintWeekLive! and getting the opportunity to discuss their business challenges, both through the public forums and one-to-one on our stand,” said Sarah Crumpler. “It’s important that we inspire them and help them to innovate through our own technology innovations, and PrintWeekLive! is shaping up to be a great platform for the kind of engagement with customers that we at Duplo love.”
