Paragon Service Point, which has 22 branches across the UK, has worked with Duplo to take their in-house finishing equipment to the next level. The investment is designed to increase the responsiveness of each branch to their local customer needs and support the growth strategy, whilst ensuring the activity can be retained in-house with faster turnarounds and improved automation.
The branch investment has been topped off with the acquisition of Duplo’s DuSense Sensor coater, which will be sited in the Domingo Street branch in Central London. The DuSense coater is a real differentiator for Paragon and fully aligns with the growth strategy in the on-demand digital market. The addition of the DuSense will enable Kingswood to beautifully embellish printed media, raising the bar quality and price-point wise across their retail customer base, where there is significant interest as customers look to stand out from the crowd. The Komfi 52 Laminator has also been purchased which will ensure fantastic results for the retail customers.
Paragon Graphics Operations Director, Mark Pearson commented
“This is an exciting investment and the finishing equipment completes our 3 year investment plan for Service Point UK to pave the way for significant growth in the on demand digital market, supplying print at point of demand. Paragon group have invested £4m over the last 3 years and we are well placed to service our growing customer base. This is on the back of 3 large acquisitions for Service Point in the last 7 months as we have expanded our other key offering in large format display solutions with Kingswood, Magenta Display and Service Graphics Ltd coming into the UK division. Our growth strategy is working and this investment with Duplo will help us further increase sales within Paragon Service Point in 2019. It is important we have the right supply partners and people in our business to drive at the speed we’re growing. We see Duplo as a strategic partner in helping us drive technology and efficiency to add value for our customers and Duplo have shown great commitment to help us make this investment “
Duplo’s UK MD, Andy Benson added “The process of understanding the differing needs, issues and possible solutions across all of the branches has been an interesting one! Over the coming weeks, the roll out of multi-finishers, booklet makers, creasers and folders will enable the finishing work to be done in house and with a much faster response. We look forward to supporting Service Point in getting the most out of the kit in each branch.”
