Almost 200 people attended Duplo’s first ‘Northern Lights’ event at The Lowry in Salford in 2015, and the print finishing pioneer is aiming to match if not exceed this success when the show returns on March 8-9, this time at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds.
Northern Lights 2016 is a print application event aimed at businesses targeting growth through the latest technologies and innovations. Duplo will be introducing the latest breakthrough print finishing technology, including the soon to be launched 600 Pro Digital Booklet System alongside the latest innovations from its event partners.
Confirmed partners for Northern Lights currently include Antalis, the BPIF, Friedheim International, Infigo Software, Proskills, Renz and Vivid Laminating Technologies.
Duplo UK Managing Director Peter Jolly said: “Our second event in the North is targeted at showing how customers can create added value and increased revenue through the latest applications and innovations. With our partners we will show how reliable next-generation products, service and support create integrated solutions and sustainable future success for customers.”
Visitors will have the opportunity to network and share best practice, get hands-on with the latest technologies, learn how to get the most from their investments, and gain new ideas for their businesses. Activities include operator workshops, a Proskills school visit and a Duplo Owners Club meeting at 2pm on Tuesday 8th March, followed by later opening with an open bar for a more relaxed social environment.
Doors open on both days at 10am, with the event closing at 7pm on Tuesday 8 March and 5pm on the Wednesday 9 March.
Sarah Crumpler, Duplo UK Marketing Manager, said: “Following the success of our inaugural Northern Lights event last year, including the launch of our Owners Club, we’re excited to return with another show in the north this year. Northern Lights 2016 has been planned in collaboration with our customers and we’re confident that this event will deliver interest and value to all who attend.”
She added: “The event will feature ground-breaking technology and solutions from Duplo and our partners, hands-on workshops, and great networking opportunities, all delivered at another iconic location.”
Situated at Leeds Dock, close to the centre of the West Yorkshire city, the purpose-built riverside Royal Armouries Museum is the United Kingdom’s national museum of arms and armour, and one of the most important museums of its type in the world. It houses a collection of more than 8,500 objects in six themed galleries: War, Tournament, Oriental, Self-Defence, Hunting and Peace.
