Duplo X Catalyst Community Card Project

Duplo International and Catalyst have teamed up for an exciting Christmas card project, and we’re inviting everyone in our local community to get involved. The goal is to raise money that will directly support well-being initiatives in our local community, while also spreading a little festive cheer.

First off, let’s talk about Catalyst. We’ve partnered with Catalyst as they are a local charity that’s all about helping people who are dealing with mental health challenges and looking after overall well-being. They offer everything from one-on-one counselling to group therapy and outreach programs, all designed to help people get back on their feet and live their best lives. Catalyst isn’t just about short-term fixes—they’re in it for the long haul, helping people rebuild their lives and find a sense of purpose again.

They’re deeply rooted in the community, working closely with local authorities, healthcare providers, and other organisations to make sure people get the help they need. The work they do is incredibly impactful, making a real difference in people’s lives every day.

The Christmas Card Project

Now, onto the Christmas card project! Catalyst is reaching out to their community and well-being groups, asking them to create some festive artwork that could end up on this year’s Christmas card. This is a fantastic opportunity for people to take part in a well-being activity, get creative and contribute to a cause that’s all about supporting our local community.

The winning artwork will be turned into a Christmas card by Duplo, who are experts in making things look amazing with their print finishing techniques. We’ll be adding some special touches like raised varnish and foils to add as much value to the cards as possible. Our aim is to support Catalyst in raising as much money for the local community as possible.

How the Winner Will Be Chosen

A team from both Duplo and Catalyst will be reviewing all the submitted artwork. They’ll be looking for designs that are bold, eye-catching, and full of contrast—basically, something that screams “Christmas!” and has details that will shine even more with those special print embellishments. So, if you’re thinking of submitting something, go big and bold with your ideas! — to make strong artwork for embellishment, think of the sparkle of Christmas lights, the shine of snow, and the glow of a warm fire. The finished product will be something truly special that you’ll want to send to everyone on your list.

The deadline to get your artwork in is Friday, 20th September, and the winners will be announced on 24th September. The chosen design will then be transformed into beautiful Christmas cards, which will be available for sale in the Catalyst charity bookshop by Monday, 4th November. Every card sold will help raise money to support Catalyst’s incredible work.

Why This Matters

At the heart of this project is the goal of raising funds for Catalyst so they can continue doing what they do best - supporting those in our community who need it most. But it’s also about bringing people together, celebrating creativity, and making a positive impact during a time of year that can be tough for many.

By buying these Christmas cards, you’re not just sending holiday greetings—you’re directly supporting vital services in our community. And for those who submit artwork, it’s a chance to be part of something meaningful and to share your creativity with others.

This collaboration between Duplo and Catalyst is all about community spirit, creativity, and compassion. It’s a way to spread joy while making a real difference. So, whether you’re an artist, a card buyer, or just someone who wants to support a great cause, we hope you’ll join us in making this project a success!
