Mount Street Printers automates production with Duplo DC-648

London based Mount Street Printers have installed the Duplo DC-648 multi-finisher after being demonstrated at Drupa. The family-owned luxury print specialist made the call after watching the demonstrators put the range of multi-finishers through their paces at Drupa.

“We sent a team to Drupa but they were not looking for a multi-finisher as we’ve never been in the market for such a device.” Says Alex Cain Director, “but watching the live demonstrations, ease of use and changeover they felt that with the increase in digital work, a DC device would fit right in. Now that the DC-648 has been installed it’s a complete game changer.”

“The installation was super easy, but getting it into our second-floor digital production area was not so easy and we had to lift it in. But Duplo’s team of installers didn’t have an issue with it and it was up and running within a few hours. Training was great and we’re looking to automate more applications very soon. The automation is a key aspect of the purchase because it just frees up our three guillotines and allows the operators more time to do other more manual tasks.”

“We’ve known Adam for 20 years and he has never steered us wrong, at his urging, we came to the Duplo stand at Drupa. The demonstration itself was quite impressive and an eye-opener for us. Watching all the different applications coming out of the DC devices all bar-code driven and at consistently high quality, it matches what we needed in our production room.”

Mount Street Printers has an impressive showroom in Mayfair which went through a major refit in 2020 with space for customers to browse off-the-shelf products and bespoke design options, with a separate 1500sqm manufacturing site in East Acton which is home to it's vast array of specialist equipment including die stamping and engraving machinery. Catering to establishments that require only the very best, King Charles III and Queen Camilla issued fresh Royal Warrants to them as one of London’s premier printers and stationers.
