Printvisie Maximises Workflow Efficiency with Duplo’s DC-ST100

In the fast-paced world of print, balancing productivity, efficiency, and quality is a constant challenge. For Printvisie, a renowned print service provider based in Rotterdam, this delicate balance was becoming increasingly difficult. "The amount of orders is increasing, though the order value is decreasing, so the amount of time we have to finish an order is very limited" explains CEO Leander Wünschmann. For Printvisie, innovation and automation weren’t just an option – they were a necessity.

Who Are Printvisie?

Printvisie has proudly served the print industry for over 45 years. "We print both in offset and in digital print, including the complete post press... And also doing the logistics for our European customers," says Wünschmann. Their business also owns two successful e-commerce platforms, Flyers Online and Groen Print – the latter offers customers eco-friendly print products and real-time carbon footprint calculations. "We were one of the first suppliers in the Benelux. And as I know right now, the only one who calculates the carbon footprint immediately when the customer orders their print online."

"The Duplo machines really helped us to decrease the amount of time we need for the production of the orders of our customers,"

To stay ahead, Printvisie began investing in Duplo’s post-press solutions. The iSaddle booklet maker provided shorter make-ready times, helping staff transition quickly between jobs. As their card and flyer business expanded, they added the DC-646 and later the DC-648 to support faster and more flexible finishing.

Duplo’s reputation for user-friendly systems allowed Printvisie to optimise output with fewer staff while maintaining the high-quality standards their customers expect.

Printvisie needed their finishing to keep up with their digital presses

"We were very fortunate to test the stacker [DC-ST100] in our company, where we are able to have an extended output tray, so to say, where the operator can spend his time and dedication on another machine."

The results were immediate. "It's less time consuming. And it gives more empowerment to the operator... they can dedicate their attention to the process they are working on, on a different machine and know that the cutter is handling different orders at the same time."

Building on their successful investment in the DC-648, the DC-ST100 Inline Stacker fits seamlessly into their existing Duplo workflow. Its ability to automatically stack multiple job formats with minimal operator intervention is essential to Printvisie’s high-speed, high-volume operation. "One operator can operate two machines at the same time," says Wünschmann, highlighting how Duplo's automation has allowed them to do more with less.

Duplo’s automation plays a vital role in helping Printvisie reach its sustainability goals.

Sustainability is a core focus for Printvisie. "Printvisie is a Climate Calc certified company," Wünschmann explains, highlighting their commitment to tracking and reducing carbon emissions across their operation. "The less energy we use in production, the better for the environment, of course." Duplo machines contribute by using significantly less electricity than traditional finishing equipment and by minimising waste through barcode automation. "The amount of waste is not zero, but it's almost zero," he adds. "99% of the time, it's quality output."

Ready for the Future

With a firm focus on automation and sustainability, Printvisie is future-proofing its operations. Their partnership with Duplo is helping them adapt to changing customer demands, while keeping productivity high and environmental impact low.
